About the Project
“Indian Research Methodology (IRM) from Sanskrit Texts: Multidisciplinary Applications in Higher Education Spaces” is an Institute of Eminence (IoE) funded research project at the Department of Sanskrit Studies, University of Hyderabad. The project started in November, 2022 with Prof. JSR Prasad of Department of Sanskrit Studies as the Principal Investigator and Dr. Shree Deepa from Centre for English Language Studies as the co-PI of the project.
The research project aims to focus on areas such as synopsis, chapterization, coherence, methods and types of argumentations so as to enhance the quality of writing though reader centeredness as the primary goal of writing in the academic spaces. This is a theoretical study that has the potential of immediate positive implication on the writing process at the tertiary level. The benefits of going meta over the writing process with these concepts carefully sifted from ancient Sanskrit literary works as touchstones will ease the writing process, reduce the writing time required in writing academic discourse such as term paper, project report, dissertations by the students and above all, it will provide a rich framework that is deeply rooted in the ancient rich cultural traditions of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
